CURBSIDE RECYCLING PROGRAM
Recyclable |
Preparation Procedure |
Glass: Clear,
Brown, Green |
Remove all metal or plastic rings. Labels may be left
on. Not Accepted: Plate glass, ceramics, cups, dishes, and drinking
glasses

Plastics: #1 - #7 |
Remove metal caps and rings. Not Accepted: Any caps
or lids and plastic bags.
|
Tin & Aluminum |
Remove Paper labels. Cans do not need to be flattened
|
Newsprint |
Includes glossy inserts.
|
Cardboard |
Includes corrugated dull-finish type cardboard and paper
grocery bags. Glossy or wax finish boxes such
as cereal and cake mix boxes. Egg cartons. All cardboard
should be flattened. |
Magazines |
Includes all magazines and catalogs with the glossy
pages.

White and Color Paper
|
All white or colored non glossy paper such as junk mail,
school papers, and envelopes.
|
Motor Oil |
Used motor oil should be place in a sealed container
(milk jug, or original oil container). Place on ground next to trash
for collection by solid waste driver. |
**Helpful Tips**
If possible use brown paper grocery bags for white colored paper. newspapers,
magazines, tin, and aluminum. If any or all of these items are in separate
bags its will make collection much quicker and the brown paper bag is
recycled as opposed to the plastic bags which are not.
