We invite you to take the next exit, Exit 182, and spend some time in our community, listed among the top American communities in Norman Crampton's publication "The 100 Best Small Towns in America."

Founded in 1854, Grinnell has produced an awe-inspiring list of architectural treasures. One of which we are particularly proud is the National Historic Landmark Grinnell Sullivan building, designed by Louis Sullivan, and located in historic downtown Grinnell.

Grinnell's cultural resources include: a historical museum, an art gallery, a community theatre, a public library, and a municipal band that performs in Central Park every other Thursday evening starting in mid June and running through the end of July.

In addition, Grinnell College has an extensive calendar of cultural exhibits, symposiums and performances open to the public. Grinnell has many special events, such as our annual Happy Days Festival and Ag Appreciation Day, just to name a couple.

But don't wait for a special event to come to Grinnell. Visit us today or put us on your next travel itinerary!
